Oxygen concentrators work with the PSA (pressure swing absorption) principle to produce a continuous flow of oxygen from compressed air filtration. The system consists of two series of extruded aluminum columns filled with zeolite. A flow of pre-treated compressed air crosses the columns from the bottom to their top, nitrogen is absorbed by the filtering material, while oxygen from the top of the towers is collected in a special storage tank ready for use.
